Frequently asked questions
Is GolVix free?
Yes. You can play every day for free with ads and a daily limit on new questions. Premium removes ads and the daily question limit and unlocks all six topics; a 1-day pass is also available.
Is GolVix on Android?
Not yet. GolVix is available on iPhone now, and an Android version is coming later.
How does a 1v1 match work?
Create a room or join one. Both players get the same question at the same time and have 15 seconds to answer (35 seconds for a crossword clue). A match has 5 to 20 questions. Rooms can be public or private with a 5-digit PIN.
What is Auction mode?
Each round shows a prompt, such as players with the initials L. M. or players who played for two given clubs. Players bid how many footballers they can name; the highest bidder must name that many before time runs out to win the point.
Is the Football IQ test a real IQ test?
No. It is a fun score based on 20 football questions across six topics, made to compare and share with friends. It does not measure intelligence.
How up to date are the questions?
Questions use only settled facts up to the end of the 2024-25 season. GolVix avoids current squads, managers and transfers, which change too often to quiz on fairly.
How do I delete my account?
In the app, open Profile, then Delete account. Your account and its data are removed from our servers. The Privacy Policy explains the few hashed records that are kept.
